Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data VidProxy collects, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this short and plain.

1. What We Collect

• Account data: your email address and a hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords).
• Configuration data: YouTube channel IDs, webhook URLs, labels, and keyword filters you set up.
• Video and transcript data: metadata and transcripts fetched from public YouTube channels, stored up to your plan's retention limit.
• Delivery logs: records of webhook delivery attempts and responses.
• Billing data: your subscription plan and billing status. Payment details (card numbers) are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Usage analytics: anonymized data about how visitors use the site (see Section 5).

2. How We Use It

• To operate the Service: poll channels, fetch transcripts, deliver webhooks.
• To send transactional emails: account verification and billing receipts.
• To enforce plan limits and API rate limits.
• To diagnose errors and improve reliability.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone.

YouTube transcript content passes through ScraperAPI as a fallback when direct fetching is blocked. No account data is shared with ScraperAPI.

Account data (email, configuration) is retained until you delete your account. After cancellation, all data is purged within 30 days.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage patterns — page views, session duration, and similar anonymized metrics. Google Analytics may set its own cookies and shares data with Google Inc., which may use it for its own purposes. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

6. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@vidproxy.pro. We'll process deletion requests within 7 days. You can remove individual channel subscriptions and keyword alerts yourself from the dashboard at any time. If you are in the EU or California, you also have rights to access, correct, and port your data under GDPR and CCPA respectively — email us to exercise these rights.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Your API key is stored in our database and remains visible in your dashboard so you can retrieve it — treat it like a password, and use the Rotate button in your dashboard settings if you believe it has been exposed. Rotating immediately invalidates the previous key.

8. Changes to This Policy

We'll notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy.
